Municipal Greenery. City Map
This ongoing project shows greenery that is not necessarily green. It is similar everywhere across the city. Once I found a slogan on a city banner (actually concerning a beer brand): “Taste Warsaw by districts. Gather them all”. So I started doing it. Month by month, district by district, I’ve been trying to tell the story about heroic fighting for life, where almost no place for life exists. About various ways of protecting miserable lives, the ways that often become traps for their amazing lack of humility. About their constant attempts to sneak away any rigid limits and rules. About their struggle against concrete, trampling, clipping, heaps of ubiquitous rubbish and other shit. Despite indignity, the green’s strife and its huge power to survive is ponderable. Isn’t is the same with us?
